How Can Yoga Support My Wellness?
Yoga is an ancient practice of bringing mindful awareness into the discovery of the mind-body-spirit connection “Yoga is the calming of the fluctuations of the mind in order to find unity within.” (Barkataki, 2020)
While this practice is old, its teachings continue to be studied and have been found to reduce stress and anxiety, relieve chronic pain, improve mental well-being, improve cardiovascular functioning, support the parasympathetic nervous system, and increase flexibility to name a few.
Yoga not only incorporates movement into the body, but also recognizes that movement alone can not fully connect us with our inner wisdom and unify our mind, body, and spirit. In traditional yoga, there are 8 limbs to achieve this unity and I will work with you to curate a guided practice that speaks directly to your needs at this time. This may include:
